Campbell Military Chest
Military Chests are representative of the most common type of Campaign Furniture- this particular chest is based on a mid 19th century design. The Brighton Buns are rather clever folding candlesticks which were used by explorers and soldiers in the 18th and 19th centuries.They consist of two drip -pan bases with candle cups which screw in to the base to provide two chamber sticks. To fold it, the Canvas back is lifted off its post, which allows the arms to drop on their hinges to the sides of the legs. The X frame legs can then be folded, once their riveted locking bars are opened. Highest quality 24 oz canvas has been used making this one of the finest and strongest chairs for field use.
